چکیده
1 Abstract—The broadcast nature of wireless communications makes it vulnerable to attack or eavesdropping. Therefore, information security is an important issue in wireless communications, especially in distributed networks such as wireless sensor networks and ad hoc wireless networks. In this paper, we present the physical layer secrecy performance analysis of singleinput single-output (SISO) systems consisting of single antenna devices, in the presence of a single antenna passive eavesdropper over dissimilar Rayleigh/Nakagami fading channels. Especially, we derive exact close-form expressions for the probability that secrecy capacity exists and the secrecy outage probability using statistical characteristics of the signal-to-noise ratio. These expressions allow us to assess the security capability of the considered single-input singleoutput systems. The analytical result are verified by Monte-Carlo simulation.

On The Physical Layer Security Under κ-μ Shadowed Fading Channels With Diversity Approaches
This paper presents a investigation on the performance of security under κ-μ shadowed fading channels using the Wyner’s classic wiretap model. A better fit was presented for the κ-μ shadowed fading channel curves in relation to other fading models, as Rayleigh and Nakagami-m. Results and analyses are obtained through the Secrecy Outage Probability, the Strictly Positive Secrecy Capacity and Ave...
متن کاملPerformance Analysis of Space Time Trellis Codes Over Nakagami Fading & Rayleigh Fading Channels: With Comparative Analysis
Space-time trellis codes provide both diversity gain and coding gain. There are two different design criteria proposed for spacetime trellis codes (STTCs), namely the rank and determinant criteria (RDC) and the Euclidean distance design criteria (EDC). In this paper, we present the performance of STTCs over Nakagami fading channels. Our results show that the STTCs designed for Rayleigh fading c...
متن کاملSecrecy Transmission on Block Fading Channels: Theoretical Limits and Performance of Practical Codes
We consider a system where an agent (Alice) aims at transmitting a message to a second agent (Bob), while keeping a third agent (Eve) in the dark, by using physical layer techniques. For a transmission over frequency non selective block fading channels, we assume that Alice perfectly knows the channel with respect to Bob, but she has only a statistical knowledge of the channel with respect to E...

In this paper, the performance analysis of an energy detector is exploited over composite multipath/shadowing fading channels, which is modeled by Rayleigh-lognormal (RL) distribution. Based on an approximate channel model which was recently proposed by the author, the RL envelope probability density function (pdf) is approximated by a finite sum of weighted Rayleigh pdfs. Relying on this inter...
